Have you ever submitted your path to God and found that He uses you in a way that you could never take credit for yourself? Or has He ever called you to something that you think is not “you”?
I sure have! I have to say that there have been so many times in my life that He has called me to something and I think “No… I don’t think so! I can’t do that!” I have lots of excuses ready to go as to why I am not enough in the area that He is calling me. But it is then that He reminds me that He is not calling me for my competencies, He is calling me for my willingness to be used.
And friend, He can use you too, and mightily, when you let go of those definitions and limitations of your life and see that it is ALL HIM. We need to realise that we are just vessels and it is by HIS grace and power that we can really make a difference and move forward in our lives. He is unconventional and counter-cultural – it may scare us at first (or forever!) but He is the way. He has GOOD plans for you!
I completely LOVE that He uses me in ways that make my jaw drop and are a total display of His power over a display of my skills. I LOVE that callings like these require me to trust in Him completely, step out of my comfort zone and in faith believe that His way is good. I love that these callings leave me feeling amazed at His grace and His kindness for me. I love that He sees me in my weakness and chooses to include me in His incredible plan. I love that His grace and strength is all I need to move forward in His good plan.
Paul proclaims this in his life in Corinthians: “…and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
We know that God actually chooses to use us in our weakness. In Isaiah 40:29 it says: “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” And that all He requires of us is to have faith and to be willing to be used. In the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead, Jesus tells Martha: “Didn’t I tell you that if you will believe in me, you will see God unveil his power?” John 11:40 TPT
Are you ready to surrender your own plans and see Him unveil His power in your life?
